🧭 Expanded Guidelines

  1. Sect: is the Sun above the horizon (day chart) or below (night chart)?
  2. Ascendant sign, the chart ruler (domicile lord of the ASC) and its condition
  3. The luminaries (Sun, Moon) by sign, house and aspect
  4. Angular planets (within ~5° of ASC/MC/DSC/IC)
  5. Major aspects and patterns (Stellium, T-square, Grand Trine, Yod)
  6. Element / modality balance (count planets per element and modality)
  7. Dispositor chains (who rules whom) and final dispositor, if any
  8. Score essential dignity (domicile, exaltation, triplicity, term, face; detriment/fall) for each traditional planet
  9. Note retrograde planets and planets within 8°30′ of the Sun (combust) or 17′ (cazimi)
  10. Read each house through its cusp sign, its ruler’s placement and any planets inside it
  11. Compute aspect orbs exactly (see aspect notes) and mark applying vs separating

Numbering continues the three author guidelines above.
