🧭 Expanded Guidelines
- Sect: is the Sun above the horizon (day chart) or below (night chart)?
- Ascendant sign, the chart ruler (domicile lord of the ASC) and its condition
- The luminaries (Sun, Moon) by sign, house and aspect
- Angular planets (within ~5° of ASC/MC/DSC/IC)
- Major aspects and patterns (Stellium, T-square, Grand Trine, Yod)
- Element / modality balance (count planets per element and modality)
- Dispositor chains (who rules whom) and final dispositor, if any
- Score essential dignity (domicile, exaltation, triplicity, term, face; detriment/fall) for each traditional planet
- Note retrograde planets and planets within 8°30′ of the Sun (combust) or 17′ (cazimi)
- Read each house through its cusp sign, its ruler’s placement and any planets inside it
- Compute aspect orbs exactly (see aspect notes) and mark applying vs separating
Numbering continues the three author guidelines above.
