Quindecile
Aspect Degree: 24
Degree Orbs: 1-2°
Glyph: 24°
Description:
The Quindecile is the 24° aspect formed by dividing the zodiac by 15 (360° ÷ 15). It is the 15th harmonic. In this vault’s arithmetic definition it is associated with creativity, refinement, and the integration of different energies — a fine division that asks separate currents to work as one composition.
This note is not the 165° obsession aspect. That angle is filed separately as the Tyl Quindecile (Noel Tyl / Reeves usage; 11 × 15° = 165°, 24th-harmonic multiple of 15°).
Key Points:
- Marks a 15th-harmonic link: refinement, craft, and creative integration.
- Shows where different planetary tones can be composed rather than opposed.
- Supports subtle skill-building and compositional awareness.
- Distinct from the Tyl Quindecile’s compulsive / fixation signature at 165°.
Example Interpretations:
Venus quindecile Pluto: Creative desire refined through deep emotional material; integration rather than raw compulsion (compare Tyl Quindecile for fixation).
Mercury quindecile Saturn: Disciplined craft of thought; careful structure that polishes expression.
Use in Practice:
Treat 24° Quindeciles as fine harmonic craft-points. When obsession, hyper-focus, or compulsive drive is the theme under discussion, read the Tyl Quindecile (165°) instead. Chart software that labels “quindecile” at 165° is implementing the Tyl convention — configure both angles if you want both tracked.

Two named aspects. Quindecile (24°) = 360°/15 (this note). Tyl Quindecile (165°) = 11 × 15° (obsession / drive / compulsion in Noel Tyl and Ricki Reeves). Mathematically 165° is a multiple of 15° in the 24th harmonic, not the 24° angle. Both are kept; label 165° Tyl Quindecile everywhere to eliminate ambiguity.
The two Quindecile path copies are kept cross-linked and identical in content.
Detection rule (all aspects): with Δ = |λ₁ − λ₂| mod 360 and d = min(Δ, 360 − Δ), an aspect of angle A (≤ 180°) is in orb when |d − A| ≤ orb. Applying vs. separating is decided by whether |d − A| is shrinking or growing as the faster body moves.
