Cusp arithmetic. In whole-sign houses the 2nd house is the entire 2nd sign counted from the rising sign: sign(H2) = (sign(ASC) + 1) mod 12. In equal houses its cusp is ASC + 30°. In quadrant systems (Placidus, Koch, Porphyry, Regiomontanus, Campanus) the cusp is computed from RAMC, obliquity and latitude — see House Systems.
