✶ Yod

Subfolder of: Aspect Patterns · Aspects

Definition: Two bodies in sextile, both quincunx a third (the apex) — “Finger of God”.

📐 Geometry

• a Sextile b (60°)
• a Inconjunction (Quincunx) c and b Inconjunction (Quincunx) c (150° each)

Arithmetic test: Apex ≈ midpoint of a–b + 180°. Every leg must be within its own aspect orb (see the linked aspect notes).

🧭 Reading (modern Western usage)

In modern practice this configuration is read as continual adjustment focused on the apex planet; the point opposite the apex (the “reaction point”) is sensitive. Within Astrology Arith(m)etic, read each leg with the book method — body × aspect × body, coloured by sign and house — and then read the figure as a whole.
