Subfolder of: Aspect Patterns · Aspects

Definition: A Grand Trine with a fourth body opposite one of its corners, which therefore sextiles the other two.

📐 Geometry

Arithmetic test: d ≈ λa + 180. Every leg must be within its own aspect orb (see the linked aspect notes).

🧭 Reading (modern Western usage)

In modern practice this configuration is read as the opposition gives the Grand Trine a direction and outlet; body d is the “tail”, body a the “head”. Within Astrology Arith(m)etic, read each leg with the book method — body × aspect × body, coloured by sign and house — and then read the figure as a whole.
