Vadecile
Aspect Degree: 18
Degree Orbs: ±1° (vault working range 0.5–1.5°)
Glyph: 18° (stylized or written — no standard glyph; numeric form preferred)
Description:
The Vadecile is the 18° aspect — another name sometimes used for the vigintile (also called the semidecile). Angle: 18°. Harmonic: 20th. Calculation: 360° ÷ 20 = 18°. Aspect family: Quintile/decile family. Suggested orb: ±1°.
The term vadecile is uncommon; vigintile is the more widely documented name for 18°. See also Vigintile.
It reflects subtle alignment to inner callings, ritualized insight, or sacred momentum that doesn’t follow loud timing. Vadeciles may reveal the soul’s quieter compulsions — moments where intuitive geometry and timing guide behavior, creativity or thought without conscious planning. It’s the aspect of precise attunement that doesn’t announce itself — but hums underneath.
Note on 32°: the figure 32°43′38″ (≈ 32.7273°) belongs to the Undecile (11th harmonic, 360° ÷ 11). It is not the Vadecile.
Key Points:
- Indicates precise intuitive alignment or micro-initiations
- May reflect ritual patterns or sacred design at work beneath awareness
- Often guides action through inner prompting, not logic
- Can show where spiritual rhythm quietly overrides conscious timing
- Alias of vigintile / semidecile (H20)
Example Interpretations:
Venus vadecile Mercury: Artistic ideas arrive as if pre-planned; harmony through internal rhythm.
Mars vadecile Uranus: Sudden bursts of precision action: sacred timing strikes unpredictably.
Use in Practice:
The vadecile acts like a quiet signal from the deeper self — it does not demand but informs behavior subtly, especially in rituals, routines, and unconscious cycles. It may show where creative or spiritual energy moves in elegant sync with unknown patterns, like celestial choreography at micro scale.
In metaphysical work, use the vadecile to locate occult symmetry, personal timing keys, or sacred math encoded in your chart. These aspects may guide soundwork, prayer rhythms, or the sequencing of ritual steps — moments where timing isn’t tactical, it’s encoded.
🧮 Aspect Arithmetic
| Quantity | Value |
|---|---|
| Exact angle | 18.000000° = 18°00′00.0″ |
| Formula | 360° × 1/20 |
| Harmonic number | H20 |
| Fraction of circle | 1/20 |
| Shortest-arc separation | 18.000000° |
| Explement (360° − angle) | 342.000000° |
| Orb (this vault) | ±1° suggested; 0.5–1.5° author working range |
| Family | Quintile/decile series — harmonics 5, 10, 20; also filed under Custom |
Canonical: Vadecile = 18° = vigintile / semidecile. The former note value of 32° was incorrect for this name and has been corrected to Undecile territory.
Detection rule (all aspects): with Δ = |λ₁ − λ₂| mod 360 and d = min(Δ, 360 − Δ), an aspect of angle A (≤ 180°) is in orb when |d − A| ≤ orb. Applying vs. separating is decided by whether |d − A| is shrinking or growing as the faster body moves.
