Astrology TN Analyzer
Astrology TN Analyzer
This is a text-first chart analyzer built from the Astrology Arith(m)etic vault. It accepts manual positions or a pasted text report, calculates supported aspects and patterns, generates a source-grounded analysis, and can export a temporary plain-text or PDF report for download over a local network.
Personal-use privacy
This is a private, single-user tool for the owner of the Astrology TN Analyzer drive and a device the owner chooses to use with it. It is not a public service or shared multi-user application. Chart data and generated reports stay in temporary memory and are cleared when the session ends; the application does not write reports to the drive or send chart data to a cloud service. The local transfer page is reachable by devices on the same network that have the session-specific QR code or address, so share that only with the intended device. Sesame is an optional online exception: after the offline catalog fails to recognize a name and the user confirms, only that single unmatched name is sent to Sesame and its returned names are compared with vault entries.
Run from the drive
On the HP, plug in the Astrology TN Analyzer drive and power on. Press Esc, then F9, and choose the UEFI entry for the USB. The analyzer boots from the drive without starting the computer's installed operating system. Secure Boot must be off for the unsigned loader. On another computer, use its one-time boot menu and choose the UEFI USB entry; this build is for x86-64 UEFI PCs and does not support every computer type.
At startup, use the keyboard connection menu: Network (default; tries Ethernet, then prompts for Wi-Fi), USB tether (for a phone Personal Hotspot over USB), or None (offline). Network mode does not need a phone or USB tether. PAN is not included. If the selected adapter or connection is unavailable, startup continues offline; it does not exit to a shell. At the analyzer menu, type a number and press Enter. To import from iPhone, choose the import QR option, scan it, paste the report on the phone, and submit it. After you accept the preview, each import asks for House System, Tropical / Sidereal / Both, and Ayanamsa. House System offers Placidus, Koch, Campanus, Regiomontanus, Porphyry, Equal House, Whole Sign Tropical, Whole Sign Sidereal, and a manually entered option. Ayanamsa offers Lahiri, Fagan/Bradley, Krishnamurti, Hipparchus, a manually entered option, Not applicable (Tropical), and Not specified. Use the numbered keyboard choices; press Enter to accept the detected/default value (Placidus and Fagan/Bradley are defaults when the report has no value). The Tropical/Sidereal choice controls which labelled positions are used for aspect calculations; Both calculates each section separately.
Choose Analyze current chart to see results. Choose Export text + PDF to show the download QR. The device receiving the exports saves them; they are not stored on the drive. The analysis session is keyboard-only and ends with the exit option.
Run from Linux
sh ./run.sh
Run it from the Astrology TN Analyzer folder on the drive. The Linux launcher is useful for development or recovery; booting from UEFI is the standalone path.
The local transfer page starts when the analyzer runs. On the same Wi-Fi network, open the displayed address or scan the QR code to import a report or download generated exports. The transfer address is session-specific. Report contents and exports are kept in memory only and clear when the application exits. Each export is removed from memory after its first successful download.
Keyboard-only operation
The analyzer is controlled entirely from the keyboard; no mouse is required. At the main menu, type the option number and press Enter. Type into prompts and press Enter to submit; use a blank line to finish manual chart entry. Use Ctrl+C to close the session. The phone transfer page also supports keyboard navigation: Tab and Shift+Tab move through its controls, Enter activates buttons and links, and the report field receives focus when the import page opens. A QR code is optional; the analyzer prints the same local address for manual entry on another device.
Current implementation scope
- Text-report parsing recognizes zodiac longitude sections and common chart labels. It flags unsupported or incomplete sections rather than inventing positions.
- Aspect angles and orb guidance are extracted from the vault; missing or conflicting definitions are reported.
- The analysis writer is a compact offline synthesis engine, not a generative language model. It combines calculated aspect geometry and orb strength with the relevant aspect, planet/point, zodiac-sign, and fixed-star passages from the vault, then cites the source files in the report. It currently expands the eight strongest aspect matches and flags data limitations; it does not use a cloud AI service.
- Imports record house system, zodiac selection, and ayanamsa. The export title and filename, report header, and PDF document metadata include those settings. Reports also retain which zodiac sections were present in the source.
- Sesame is used only for a user-selected name missing from the offline catalog. The analyzer compares Sesame's canonical name and aliases against the vault, and never sends chart data or positions.
- A unique confirmed Sesame-to-vault match is automatically added to
Vault-Sesame-Matches.jsonbesideVault.zipon the drive. This persistent, private extension stores the searched name, Sesame canonical name and aliases, the matched vault object, matching names, and lookup time; later sessions load its aliases offline. Ambiguous and unmatched results are not saved, and names already assigned to another vault object are skipped. - Chart data and generated reports remain temporary in RAM. The persistent Sesame file contains object-name reference data only.
boot/contains the generated x86-64 UEFI live system. Useboot/update-uefi-loader.sh /path/to/mounted/usbto install the verbose boot menu without rebuilding its large root image. It uses the computer's RAM and detected hardware drivers while keeping the live operating system read-only on the drive; seeboot/README.mdfor compatibility limits and the current boot-test status.
The source vault remains the canonical copy. The drive receives a complete Vault.zip snapshot that retains the vault folder tree; the app unpacks it into temporary storage while running.
