Emotional Synastry Analysis Instructions
- Compare the Moon signs, houses, and aspects of both charts to gauge instinctive compatibility.
- Examine Venus placements and mutual aspects for relational style and emotional expression.
- Note contacts from one person's Moon to the other's personal planets (Sun, Mercury, Venus, Mars) to reveal nurturing dynamics.
- Consider planets falling in the partner's 4th, 5th, 7th, and 8th houses for intimacy and bonding potential.
- Evaluate water-sign emphasis and the presence of soft aspects for empathy and emotional ease.
- Observe challenging aspects such as squares or oppositions involving the Moon, Venus, or Mars for tension triggers.
- Look at asteroid Juno or Eros connections for deeper commitment and passion themes.

📐 Arith(m)etic Worksheet
Following the book’s method — “pull three datasets from the catalog” (body, aspect, body) and combine them with sign and house — record each contact as:
| a (body 1) | 1 (sign of a) | house of a | aspect (operator) | b (body 2) | 2 (sign of b) | house of b | orb | applying/separating |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| … | … | … | … | … | … | … | … | … |
Then read: (a + 1)^house(a) × (b + 2)^house(b) = interpretation — i.e., body-in-sign, coloured by house, joined by the aspect’s quality. In Synastry work the bodies come from two different charts (A and B).
Construction reminder: synastry overlays two natal charts through inter-aspects and house overlays.
